December Update

Good Afternoon Tigers,

I hope this blog finds you all well and in a festive holiday season spirit! We are in the midst of another December to Remember.  Our teachers continue to design interesting and engaging lessons and our students continue to collaborate, think critically and communicate effectively.  The winter sports teams are in full swing and our holiday concerts are just about underway. Thanksgiving Blog

Good Morning Tigers,

First of all, let me take this time to wish you all a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving.  I hope that you have the opportunity to spend quality time with your family and friends over the next few days. Please stay safe and warm.

I have a few notes for you today:

1. While you are spending time with family and friends I suggest taking all cell phones and computer games and locking them away for the day.  Let face to face conversation, laughter or even arguments rule the day. Cell phones are becoming a bigger and bigger distraction to our students. If the family is all together, there is no reason for anyone to have a cell phone out.

2. While I am at it, turn off Fortnite as well. If the kids want to play a game of world domination, break out Risk or Battleship.  Fortnite is isolating. Board games bring us together.  Or better yet, tell them to bundle up and go outside. ( My adult kids still kid me, they thought their last name was "Go-outside," as in,&qu…
